and a little framework....

A little bodywork....

This is what we started with
After
years of owning and operating a successful automotive repair shop, Scott decided
it was time to move on. After a short stint teaching high school, he opened
up Scott'Shop. It all started with a 1961 VW bug that he started building
many years earlier with his oldest son. Scott's knowledge of VW is extensive,
and thus decided to build a very nice ride. That car inspired him to build
a twin to match it, with one major difference. He put a 350 cubic inch
V8 in it. With a very ingeneous cooling system and a tuned port injection
system from a Camaro, he achieved the look of stock VW Bug. That was really
the start of Scott'Shop, since then things here at Scott'Shop have only gotten
better. We have built many cars here from a 1963 Amphicar to to a 1949
Chevrolet and a couple of 1934 Ford 3-Window Coupes. We even upgraded
the VW Bug by giving it a patriotic paint job and more power with a 671 blower
sticking out of the hood. 2005 was a great year for Scott'Shop. Scott
was invited to the 2nd Annual HOTROD Pump Gas Drags. He did not have a
good day on the race track but everything else about the trip to Memphis was
outstanding. Hopefully with any luck they will choose to invite him again
and he can prove just well his V8 powered VW Bug can really do. Take a
look at the Projects page and see some of the cars that have been done here
at Scott'Shop.
